About Brexit :
This buzz word is in the top search history across the world recently for various obvious reasons. BRitain EXIT vs BRtain rEMAIN was the key topic running around and this was consulted with various political parties who were in favor and against. With the country that always considers the citizen view over multiple opinions collected via a public voting system.
Dating back to Jun-2016, the first referendum had a 52% favoring Brexit forcing the then prime minister Mr. David Cameroon to step down as he was not in favor of it. There are mixed emotions about this decision with the restriction of movement of people between the UK & Europe. This doesn’t just affect jobs, but also for children’s education, cultural prosperity and tourism. Things might change the way how border control works today vs tomorrow, driving license, movement of trucks, consignments, and trade will evolve. With the enforcement of GDPR (general data protection regulation), lots of work that is currently delivered in Europe shall fall under scrutiny.
The UK has formally left as of 31-Jan-2020 and has an 11 month transition period to define the future ways of working till the end of 31-Dec-2020. Companies are now mandated to have an EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) number which would be used for all the trades. People will have to follow the standard visa guidelines as the free movement is now restricted to UK citizens in Europe and Europeans in the UK. This entire process had a provision as part of the Article 50 in the Treaty on European Union (TEU) any member state may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements and provisions.
With a lot of mixed feeling people are closely watching the next steps in this historical move as this refers not just to how the countries work but also about the future of so many citizens.
